Services Offered
Comprehensive design services from conceptual design through project completion are available. You determine the level of design services that you are comfortable with. Specialties are programming, space planning, lighting design, architectural detailing, mill work design and furniture and fixture specification. Decorative services such as colorization and accessorizing are also available.
The Interior Design Process:
1) Initial Consultation (Complimentary)
For existing interior design renovations we meet in your space and for new construction, we meet at the site. We listen to your ideas and take detailed notes. From there we analyze the opportunities and challenges presented.
2) Design Retainer
We then meet again to review a letter of agreement to commence design services. A design retainer launches your design work.
3) Project Evaluation – Programming and Analysis
Determination of the specific needs and goals for your unique project.
4) Conceptual Design Phase
Preliminary space plan drawings are formulated with traffic flow patterns with options for you to choose from.
5) Schematic Design Phase
Scaled drawings are developed from the chosen Conceptual Plan including floor plans, elevations, section drawings and sketches as needed. Depending on the level of work required to accomplish your vision, renovations requiring plumbing, mechanical, electrical and reflected ceiling plans are services that can be included for you.
6) Preliminary client review and evaluation
At this stage, you will review the drawings created during the Schematic Design Phase and approve or make recommendations for revisions until approved.
7) Design Development
Next the design gets detailed with mill work, wall, flooring, and window treatments with accompanying samples. Furniture, fixtures and fabrics are also selected and incorporated into the design of your interior later in this stage. Custom furniture drawings are created if required. A presentation is prepared with specification lists with budgetary numbers and alternate choices. Field trips to vendors for selections are typically necessary at this stage.
8) Preliminary Presentation at Design Development Stage
At this point you will confirm the design and / or make any replacement choices.
9) Purchasing and Procurement, Design Implementation
Purchases are defined and purchase orders created to include specifications, delivery estimates and freight costs. You will finalize everything to guarantee your satisfaction.
10) Installation, Project Management
Next my firm will follow up on all orders, coordinate and oversee installation of mill work, flooring, wall treatments, specialty fixtures and window treatments and all merchandise deliveries are scheduled.
11) Post evaluation
Upon completion of your project, you will evaluate your project results and we will define any unfinished details. Your complete satisfaction is my goal as my business is based on satisfied clients and referrals.
